BioKleen Replacement Canister

The new improved BioKleen canister makes the process of replacing the filter media so much easier and faster. It will save time, wear and tear on the equipment & plumbing, and eliminates potential plumbing reconnection errors. There’s no need to leave fuel in the tank for a backflushing as required by the previous process. It also allows for the replacement of the inner screen which was simply not possible with the previous design.

Why should I update my existing BioKleen system with the new improved canister?

• Save time and wear and tear on the equipment when replacing the filter media
    o New Process:
      - Simply remove the lid and gasket (4 bolts)
      - Scoop out the old filter media
      - Pour in the new filter media
      - Reattach the gasket and lid and you’re ready to go
    o Old Process: (back‐flushing)
      - Required some fuel left in the tank for the back‐flushing process
      - Disconnect and reverse the plumbing from the top and bottom of the canister(s)
      - Disconnect the line from the reactor tank and divert it through a filter bag into a separate container to capture the old media
      - Turn on pump to circulate fuel backwards through canister(s) to flush out the old media.
      - While the plumbing was still disconnected, a funnel was required to slowly refill the canister with new filter media
      - Reconnect the plumbing before processing can continue (potential for reconnecting the plumbing incorrectly)
• Makes it possible to replace the internal screen
o After removing the lid and scooping out the old media, remove the screen retaining ring and gasket, put in a new screen, re‐fasten the retaining ring and gasket, pour in the new media, reattach the lid and the job is done.
o Previous design was completely welded
      - Not possible to replace the screen
      - Had to replace the entire canister when the screen wore out.
